The QS rankings are based on research, teaching, employability and internationalisation. Macquarie University clearly compares very favourably on these measures, but there are many other advantages to being a young university.

Macquarie's campus features plenty of modern facilities, including the most technologically advanced hospital in the country; a state-of-the-art library featuring the only robotic storage and retrieval system in the southern hemisphere; and the Australian Hearing Hub which brings the nation's major hearing organisations together on the campus.
