Master of Laws (LLM)

Application

Application Forms must be accompagnied by: 

  • At least 2 references, one of which must be academic for recent graduates
  • Transcripts of the law qualifications, which if not in English must be accompanied by a certified English translation (if applying by post, please send photocopies only)
  • Where appropriate, evidence of English language ability / qualifications

Programme

To successfully complete the LLM Law programme, you will need to obtain 180 credits: 

  • 120 credits from your taught modules
  • 60 credits from your Independent Research Essay

Once enrolled on the LLM Law programme, you may choose to orientate your study towards a particular specialism, and UCL Laws offers a range of specialist degrees in addition to the general LLM programme.
