LLM Program

Curriculum

  • LLM Thesis: The focus of your master's program, your LLM thesis, should be 80-120 pages long (more information here).
  • Graduate Seminar in Law and Society 
  • Graduate Seminar in Applied Legal Methodology 
  • One non-law graduate-level seminar
  • One additional course - may be an upper-year law undergraduate course, a law graduate course, or a graduate-level course in another discipline.

Courses must be discussed with your supervisory committee and approved by the graduate program director.

Application

Requirements: 

  • A Juris Doctor (JD), Bachelor of Laws (LLB), or equivalent civil law degree
  • An average of B+ in the final two years of that law degree program
  • English Language Proficiency: TOEFL 100 IELTS 7.0
