The LLM at the University of Edinburgh are twelve month programmes full-time or twenty-four months part-time. You can find information on 2014/15 semester dates on the University calender.

The main aims of the programme are to examine in detail a wide range of topics that reflect some of the main contemporary legal and ethical challenges faced by those working in medicine, placing them in their social and historical context.
You will take a combination of compulsory and optional courses amounting to 120 credits and a dissertation of not more than 10,000 words. At least 80 credits must be from courses provided by Edinburgh law School (non-Law School courses are indicated as such).

- Fundamental Issues in Medical Jurisprudence (20 credits) (semester 1)
- Contemporary Issues in Medical Jurisprudence (20 credits) (semester 2)
