LLM For International Lawyers

Application

All applicants to Hamline University's Master in Law (LLM) for International Lawyers must possess:


  • An LLB or equivalent degree with high academic standing from a recognized university outside the U.S.
  • Prospective students must demonstrate proficiency in English. Applicants whose primary language is not English must take the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL). English proficiency will be evaluated based on the TOEFL score, application materials, and a short interview, if necessary. A TOEFL score of 100 or higher (internet-based format) is a presumption of English proficiency. The TOEFL Code for Hamline University School of Law is 6513.

Curriculum

The 24-credit, accredited* program begins in August or January with American Legal System, a required course for all LLM students. Working with your advisor, you choose your remaining credits from among Hamline Law's rich course offerings or approved School of Business classes.
