European and Asian Legal Studies LL.M.

Programme informations

A special advantage of the program lies in the cooperation with (Southeast) Asian partner universities and their expertise in the area (Southeast) Asian rights. The immediate entanglement between Asia and Europe enables a comparative and multi-dimensional view. 
Students gain knowledge and understanding of Asian legal systems - such as using the examples of China and its special regions (more informations here).

The University degree programme comprises of two compulsory modules, two specialized elective modules, and the writing and Defensio of the Master’s thesis.

In addition, ranking is based on candidates meeting the following criteria:

  • Prior knowledge in Comparative law (Publications, Dissertation, Undergraduate work, Master thesis etc, evidence of lectures during undergraduate studies).
  • Proven academic success.
  • Experience in interdisciplinary studies.
  • Extracurricular activities and international experience will also be taken into account.
