Descriptif du poste
- Review and qualify terms and conditions contained within invitations to tender;
Identify and advise tender team on steps to mitigate potential contractual and commercial risks;
- Participation with other functions to ensure review of the complete bid in order to achieve consistency with commercial/technical qualifications;
- Attend tender board as part of the tender team to present contractual risk summary to management team and seek approval for appropriate deviations;
- Attend meetings (mainly in Europe, USA and Africa) with prospective clients and major suppliers to negotiate and arrive at acceptable terms and conditions;
- Cooperate with tax managers in order to propose the most appropriate contract and tax structure for the projects;
- Review requirements for contractor\'s insurance in the contract and prepare qualifications;
- Identify and ensure that Construction All Risk Insurance to be provided by our clients is consistent with the Project and our requirements;
- Review and negotiate confidentiality agreements, pre-bid agreements, consortium agreements etc;
- Review and negotiate wording of bank guarantees/parent company guarantees and prepare qualifications as required;
- Providing guidance to contracts, supply chain and project personnel on contractual wording/risk mitigation and advising on contractual interpretation;
- Provide corporate legal support for joint-ventures incorporated in Africa;
- Provide compliance advice;
- Keep up to date with HSE legislation;
- Deliver in-house training to other departments;
- Provide general legal advice
- Instruct external legal counsel (legal opinions, litigations, arbitrations...)
Profil recherché
General Education:
Minimum honours LLB or LLM in law.
Languages
Fluent (both written and oral) or mother-tongue English speakers only.
French, Portuguese or Spanish language is an advantage.
Interpersonal skills:
Maintains a professional manner at all times.
A strong team player.
Creativity, pragmatism, dynamism, sense of humour and very strong commercial awareness are essential.
Relevant previous experience in a commercial / contracting environment and effective negotiation skills are essential.
Ability to prioritise and manage own workload
Experience of working with / supervising more junior team members.
Experience:
Proven experience of reviewing and advising on tendering contracts is essential.
5 years PQE minimum ideally in the Oil and Gas and/or construction field within an international company.
In-house experience preferred but is not essential.
Previous exposure to subsea7 is an advantage.
Competency in Microsoft Office
SAP knowledge would be desirable
